Can the Kiwis end their Quench?

We might have observed a guy in our schooldays, who keeps quiet, participates in all the activities, studies well, play well and definitely features in the topper's chart.  NZ is one such team which plays hard, plays fair and come to the big tournaments they always perform well. But, sadly despite their heroics, they tend to falter at the crunch and business end of the tournament. NZ is 6-time semi-finalists, one-time runner up in the ICC cricket world cup.

Despite having world-class leaders like Martin Crowe, Stephen Fleming, Daniel Vettori, Brendon McCullum they failed to become the world champion even once. But, this time around though they look pretty confident to achieve their goal under their skipper Kane Williamson who is regarded widely by experts as one of the best batsmen to have ever played the game and fans have given him an honor of being part of the FAB-4.

What Makes them believe they could pull it off

The Blackcaps success mantra post-2015 world cup highly depends upon their top order which consists of world-class players like Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, and Kane Williamson. These are the players who could single-handedly win the game for them on their day.

Another vital cog in this kiwi attack is their bowlers who have the ability to swing the ball both ways at a good pace and have the likes of Trent Boult who is regarded one of the best bowlers in the world in this era. To add to their arsenal they have likes of L.ferguson (known to trouble batsman with his pace), M.Henry who can swing it both ways and very useful at death and Southee who is a seasoned campaigner for them.

For any team to do well at the biggest stage of cricket, it is important for the team to have good allrounders, we have seen the impact which Yuvraj and J.Falukner had in their side's success in the previous editions of WC.NZ has a good set of all-rounders in Neesham, de Grandhome, and Santer who can provide good ammunition with both bat and ball in hand.

Their middle order looks settled with the likes of R.Taylor, T.latham, and H.nichols, who all have proved themselves in crunch moments. The onus will be on their experienced player Taylor to guide the team during middle overs.

NZ is fortunate to have one of the greatest batsmen who could play in any condition.irrespective of opposition and win the game for them. Also, King-Kane possesses good temperament as a leader and improved his leadership qualities over a period of time.

Things that  worry them

They struggled to pick wickets in the middle overs in recent times and especially once the ball stops to move around they seem to have no capability to pick wickets. considering the no. of flat decks in England, the onus will be on their spinners Ish Sodhi and Santner to stop the run flow and also pick more wickets.
off late even death bowling has been a cause of concern for them as their prime bowlers' boult and Southee is leaking too many runs at the back end, which might cost them heavily once they play teams like ENG, AUS, IND.

Key players:

Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson, R.Taylor and T.Boult.

Where they could end up?

Despite their Batting power which might drag their campaign to the semifinal, their inconsistency in death bowling could cost them even worse finish. NZ have to play out of their skin to win the title and if they end up winning it than, man you are going to witness an amazing world cup.
